Summary:

Zanzibar limestone. Blue-gray limestone with black jasper; a little black slate near top. Thickness 800 feet. Underlies Toquima formation and overlies Mayflower schist. Age is Ordovician(?).
Prominently developed on Zanzibar claim, about 1.5 mi east of Manhattan, Manhattan district, Nye Co., central NV.
