Summary:

Unit is named the Yachats Basalt. Consists of gray basalt grading to basaltic andesite and andesite. Maximum thickness is estimated to be about 750 m. Overlies the Tyee Formation; overlaps the Nestucca Formation; underlies unnamed basaltic sandstone and marine siltstone. Age is late Eocene. (B1520)
