Named as basal member of Cove Mountain formation (new) in Washington Co, southwestern UT. Consists of ash and volcanic sedimentary deposits, 0 to 50 ft thick. Underlies Racer Canyon tuff [member] (new) of Cove Mountain formation. Age given as Tertiary.
