Summary:

Named as member in lower part of Antelope Formation. Outcrops in secs.28,33,34,35 T32S R23E, M.D., Midway Sunset field, southwest edge of San Joaquin Valley, southern CA. Is a locally confined body of lensing sand beds. Is quartzose, fine grained to pebbly conglomeratic but mainly fine to coarse with local occasional beds of quartz and shale pebbles. Well cores in area of Midway Syncline find the unit to be silty to fine grained. Is older than Republic Sands (new) of Antelope Formation. Age given as late Miocene.
