Summary:
Unit is named the Wilber Ash Bed. Previously referred to informally as Wilber ash (Pewe, 1952). Composed of ash that is predominantly glass. Is 5 to 25 mm thick. Is [enclosed] within the Engineer Loess. Maybe same ash-fall as Jarvis Ash Bed. Age is Holocene.
