Summary:

Named as a member of the Hoxbar formation (raised in rank) in the Ardmore basin of southern OK in the S. Oklahoma folded belt province. Named for exposures on property of the firm of Westheimer and Daube in NW1/4 SE1/4 sec 7, T6S, R2E, Love Co, OK. No type locality designated. Consists of a 10-ft thick pinto limestone conglomerate of variegated pebbles of chert, shale and limestone in a limestone matrix with a calcareous sandstone or sandy limestone of similar thickness a few ft below the conglomerate. These beds are well exposed in SE1/4 SW1/4 sec 14, T5S, R1E, and in the NW1/4 SE1/4 sec 7, T6S, R2E. Lies some 800 ft above Union Dairy member (new) of the Hoxbar; lies 400-500 ft below the Crinerville member (new) of the Hoxbar. Overlies and underlies unnamed parts of Hoxbar. Fossil list; geologic map; columnar section. Of Pennsylvanian age.
