[Named for] Waiokamilo Stream valley. Cascades down cliff at E edge of Keanae Valley building small fan. Included as unit of Hana volcanic series. Composed of dark-gray olivine basalt with few phenocrysts of plagioclase up to 5mm across. Unconformably overlies Honomanu and Kula volcanic series. Underlies Keanae basalt (new) of Hana volcanic series. Map shows middle(?) and late Pleistocene and Recent age.

Type locality: Waiokamilo Stream [20 deg 51' 07"N, 156 deg 07' 54"W, Keanae 7.5' quad] at east edge of Keanae Valley, northern part of Island of Maui, HI. Unconformably overlies Honomanu and Kula volcanic series. Relations to other units of Hana volcanic series not known but appears to be overlapped by Keanae basalt. Assigned Pleistocene(?) age.

Waiokamilo Basalt of Stearns and Macdonald (1942) abandoned as formally named unit and called Waiokamilo flow, informal unit of Hana Volcanic series. Hana Volcanic Series assigned Pleistocene(?) and Holocene age.
