Summary:

Geographically extended the Verulam Formation to northwestern PA. Unit is a fossiliferous limestone interbedded with dark-gray shale. The Verulam is included with the Lindsay Formation in stratigraphic column. Overlies Bobcaygeon Formation and underlies Utica Formation. The Verulam is of Middle Ordovician age.
