Summary:

In West Canada Valley, east-central NY, Valley Heads Drift unconformably overlies West Canada Diamicton (new name), uppermost member of newly named Middleville Formation. Boundary between the two units is called the Shed Brook discontinuity (Ridge, 1985). Unit has been dated at 15.5-12.9 ka and tentatively assigned to the Port Bruce and Port Huron stadials by previous authors.
