Named as middle member (of 3) of Schrader Bluff formation of Colville group for Tuluga River which enters Anaktuvuk River at north end of Schrader Bluff. Type locality designated as Schrader Bluff, Colville River region, northern AK. Also well exposed on Chandler River near confluence with Ayiyak River and on Colville River in Umiat area. Distinguished by abundant bentonite and tuff interbedded with light-colored sandstone and shale. Thickness of 2200 ft in outcrop belt includes minor units of Tuluvak tongue (new) of Prince Creek formation (new) of Colville group. Overlies Seabee member (new) of Schrader Bluff formation. Underlies Sentinel Hill member (new) of Schrader Bluff formation. Age is Late Cretaceous based on macrofossils, INOCERAMUS LUNDBRECKENSIS McLearn and undescribed SCAPHITES.

Name Tuluga member of Schrader Bluff formation of Gryc and others (1951) abandoned. Rocks now assigned to Seabee formation (rank raised), Rogers Creek member (new) and Barrow Trail member (new) (both of Schrader Bluff formation) (all three in Colville group).
