Summary:

Calcareous sand and sandy limestone above the Riggins Mill Member of the Clinchfield Formation in Twiggs Co., GA, here named Treadwell Member of Clinchfield. Unit measures 4.1 m at type locality. Its hard limestone and sandstone form ledges between less indurated sand beds. Unit is fossiliferous. Contacts with underlying Riggins Mill and overlying Tivola Limestone of Ocala Group are gradational. Known definitely only in Twiggs Co. [Unit was actually formally named in Georgia Bulletin 95 (1985) by these same authors, but unit was annotated from this Open-File Report for Bulletin 1564 (Lexicon).]
