Summary:

Named as one of four members of Yeso formation for exposures in a tributary to Agua Torres Canyon, Sevilleta Grant, 7 mi due south of Black Butte, Socorro Co, NM in the Orogrande basin. No type locality designated. Overlies Meseta Blanca member of Yeso; underlies Canas member of Yeso. Consists of orange-red and buff sandstone and siltstone, gray limestone and gypsum. Ranges between 350 and 600 ft thick. Mapped with overlying Canas and Joyita members of Yeso in the Joyita Hills and eastward on southwest and south-central to northeast parts of geologic map in Torrance Co (Estancia basin) and Socorro Co. On the cross sections: nine or more limestone beds separate the sandstone and siltstone; five more or less gypsum beds present in upper part of member. Of Leonard, Early Permian age.
