Summary:

Nomenclature in this report follows Ediger and others (in prep). Richmond basin sequence is divided into three formations (ascending): Tuckahoe Formation, Turkey Branch Formation, and Otterdale Formation. Tomahawk Creek Member is upper member of Turkey Branch Formation, a previously unrecognized sequence. It overlies Hidden Member [first used]. Tomahawk Creek correlates with the lacustrine facies of the Falling Creek Member and the overlying Newfound Member of the Doswell Formation in the Taylorsville basin. Name Chesterfield Group is not used in this report.
