First published use of name. Intent to name and type locality not stated. Probably named for Times Gulch, secs 18, 17, 16, T19N, R20W, Mohave Co, AZ in the Plateau sedimentary province. Exposures confined to area between Silver Creek and Times Gulch, T19N, Rs20 and 21W where they intrude the Alcyone trachyte (new) and the Moss porphyry (new). Is a faintly pinkish, fine textured, massively weathered porphyry composed mainly of quartz and orthoclase. The minerals are intergrown in thin section. Chemical analyses. Geologic map. Is older than the Cottonwood rhyolite (new). Of Tertiary age.

Forms a triangular-shaped laccolith that intrudes Alcyone Formation (redescribed) and is in fault contact with Oatman Andesite. Is a reversely zoned granophyric laccolith with a highly siliceous border and a less siliceous core. The core and the border are subalkalic granite-alkalic granite with a similar mineralogy of potassium feldspar, quartz plagioclase, biotite, and minor hornblende. Fine-grained mafic dikes of the Moss intrude the Times. Modal averages show Times is a syenogranite. Hornblende from Times yielded a K-Ar date of 23.1 +/-1.8 Ma. The crystallization age of the shallowly emplaced Times is interpreted to be 18.83 +/-0.22 (a 40Ar/39Ar date) Ma. Age is modified from Tertiary to Miocene. Chemical analyses. Mapped to northwest of Oatman, Mohave Co, AZ in the Plateau sedimentary province.
