Summary:

Type section: wave-cut terrace and headland east of Third Beach SE/4 SW/4 sec.7 T33N R14W, Strait de Juan de Fuca, Clallam Co, WA. Is second youngest member (of 6) of Makah Formation. Consists of micaceous sandstone with siltstone interbeds and calcareous concretions which weathers grayish orange. Forms thick-bedded, ridge-forming amalgamated turbidite beds. Is 43 m thick. Lies 290 m above Klachopis Point Member (new) and 250 m below Jansen Creek Member (new) (both of Makah Formation). Upper and lower contacts with unnamed siltstone and sandstone in middle part of Makah Formation are generally covered. Is late Eocene age.
