Summary:

Named as uppermost member (of 3) of Boggy shale. Lower part of Boggy was assigned to Winslow formation in earlier reports. Term Winslow not used [but status of Winslow as a result of this study not clearly stated.] Named from exposure south of Taft, sec 19, T15N, R17E, Muskogee Co, OK on the Chautauqua platform. No type locality designated. Area of this report is in Muskogee Co. Consists of massive gray to light brown sandstone containing small pebbles of quartz in T14N, and large pebbles of sandstone, shale, and quartz in southwest corner of T15N. This conglomerate was not found north of Arkansas River, therefore might represent shore phase of the member. Is 50 ft thick. Separated from underlying Inola limestone member of Boggy shale by 80-150 ft of brown, micaceous, sandy shale assigned to the Boggy. Stratigraphic table. Columnar section. Of Early Pennsylvanian age.
