Widely exposed in Healy Creek and Lignite Creek coal basins of Nenana coal field. Consists of repeated sequences of coarse pebbly sandstone grading upward to fine-grained sandstone to clay and coal. Thickness ranges up to 1290 ft on Coal Creek on Healy Creek. Conformably overlies Sanctuary Formation (new); conformably underlies Lignite Creek Formation (new).
