Summary:

Revised as basal formation (of 6) of Enid group (raised in rank). Consists of a series of red and gray sandstones and red shales exposed in a zone extending north and south across east-central OK on the Chautauqua platform. Thickness in this area is about 800 ft. Equivalents of the Stillwater in southern KS and in Osage and Kay Cos, OK consist of a series of limestones and shales belonging to the "Flint Hills." Base placed at top of Cottonwood limestone. Underlies Wellington formation of Enid group. Geologic map of north-central OK. Stratigraphic table. Of Permian age.
