Is noted as entry in glossary section A. Section A contains rejected stratigraphic names. Attributed to Leighton (1960); named for St. Charles, Kane Co, IL. Intraglacial substage between Tazewell (lower) and Carey (upper) Substages based on erosional contact between Marseilles (lower) and Minooka Drifts. Included in Woodfordian Substage.
