Summary:

Spout Spring oolite. Name applied to 50-foot massive-bedded hard gray oolite near base of Bangor limestone. [Appears to be stratigraphically below the Rockwood oolite member.] Age is Mississippian.
Occurs at Spout Spring, about 2 mi west of Rockwood, Franklin Co., northwestern AL.
