Pg. 2869. Snow Creek Formation of /Keechelus Volcanic Group. Thickness 3,600 to 4,800 feet. Uppermost formation in Keechelus Volcanic Group. Overlies Stampede Tuff (new). Underlies Cougar Mountain Formation (new). Age is early Oligocene.
Occurs in west-central Cascade Range, WA.
[Keechelus Volcanic Group conflicts with nomenclature guidelines stating a group name combines a geographic name with the term "group," and no lithic designation is included (ACSN, 1961, 1970; NACSN, 1983, 2005, 2021).]
