An informally named unit of fine-grained sandstone and coarse-grained siltstone, 5 to 15 ft thick, present locally at the top of the Three Forks formation at south end of Nesson anticline, western ND in the subsurface of Williston basin. [Formerly included as basal unit of overlying Bakken formation.] Of Late Devonian age.
