Summary:
The Sand Hill Gneiss, here named, is a pre- to synmetamorphic intrusive rock of the Piedmont in the Greater Atlanta Region, GA. It consists of fine- to coarse-grained muscovite-biotite-oligoclase-quartz-microcline orthogneiss. Age is Paleozoic.
