Consists of following divisions (ascending): (7t) detritus, 10 feet; (7s) white sandstone, 40 feet; (7p) light-brown sandstone, 7 feet; (7o) gray arenaceous limestone, 6 feet; (7n) Barata limestone (new), 2 feet; (7m) buff sandstone, 12 feet; (7l) Arkill limestone (new), 2 feet; (7k) soft white sandstone, 14 feet; (7i) yellow limestone, 2 feet; (7h) Chapparal sandstone (new), 24 feet; (7g) light-colored shales and sandstones, 25 feet; (7f) dense gray limestone, 2 feet; (7e) green shale, 4 feet; (7d) argillaceous limsetone, 5 feet; (7c) white, green, and purple shale, 25 feet; (7b) light-brown sandstone, 11 feet; and (7a) calcareous sandstone, 27 feet. Total thickness 218 feet. Underlies Cholla member (new) and overlies Joserita member (new); both of Lowell formation. [Age is Early Cretaceous (Aptian); DUFRENOYA DUFRENOYI standard ammonite zone.]
[Occurs in the Ninety One Hills area, local name for hills in secs. 14 and 23, T. 24 S., R. 24 E., immediately north of International border in vicinity of International Monument No. 91, southeast of Bisbee Junction on Southern Pacific RR, Bisbee 15-min quadrangle, Cochise Co., southeastern AZ. Area includes type locality and standard section of Lowell Formation.]
