Pg. 56. Rittmann conglomerate lentil of Cuyahoga formation. At Rittmann, Wayne County, north-central Ohio, consists of (descending): (1) medium-grained grayish-buff fossiliferous sandstone with pebbles, 1 foot 3 inches; (2) brown shale, 4 inches; (3) coarse conglomerate, 6 inches; (4) coarse-grained sandstone, in part conglomeratic, 1 foot; (5) fine-grained sandstone, 2 feet; (6) yellowish green sandstone, 1 foot 4 inches. Underlies 2 feet of Armstrong member. Age is Mississippian.

Pg. 41 (table 2), 49, 51. Termed Rittman conglomerate submember of Armstrong sand member of Cuyahoga formation in area of River Styx conglomerate facies. Unit consists of a layer of about 2 feet of brown and tan coarse conglomerate which is fossiliferous and rather friable, overlying a dark olive medium- and coarse-grained sandstone containing considerable mica. Not traceable throughout facies. Age is Mississippian.
