Summary:

Named as youngest (Holocene) formation of Lake Bonneville Group. Overlies Midvale Soil and underlies Decker Soil (new). Is composed of lacustrine deposits graded to Gilbert shoreline of Lake Bonneville. The deposits are light-gray to dark-brown silt or clay and 15-190 cm thick. Formed as offshore bars, bay bars, and lake-bottom deposits. Type section measured on west bank of Ridgeland Canal in SW1/4 SE1/4 sec 20, T1S, R1W, Salt Lake Co, UT on Wasatch uplift. Is exposed in the area of Great Salt Lake.
