Summary:

Named as member of Glasford Formation (new) for Radnor Township, Peoria Co, IL. Type section is roadcut exposure described in Jubilee College Section, SW SW SW sec 7, T10N, R7E. In the type section, is bounded at top by the top of the Sangamon Soil. Is overlain by Roxana Silt, and it rests on the Toulon Member (new) of the Glasford. Till is gray, compact, silty, and high in illite content. Geographic distribution in west-central IL is shown on fig 6 (Illinois basin). Spatial relations shown in fig 7. Composition summarized in tables 2, 4, and 5. May be a stratigraphic equivalent of the Sterling Till Member of northern IL, but is geographically separated from it by the Green River Lobe. Is in the Jubileean Substage of the Illinoian Stage. It was deposited by the Lake Michigan Lobe.
