Quebrada Arenas limestone member of the Cibao formation is here named, consists of alternating layers of hard, finely crystalline, very pale orange limestone and soft chalky limestone. Overlies the Rio Indio limestone member and sharply underlies the Miranda sand member, both of the Cibao. Thickness is 30 m.

The Quebrada Arenas Limestone Member of the Cibao Formation occurs on the north coast of Puerto Rico and consists of dense limestone alternating with chalky limestone.
