Pg. 41, 58. Plattford shale bed of Scranton shale member of Shawnee formation. Underlies Cass limestone and overlies South Bend limestone, all in Scranton shale. Thickness 16 feet. Age is Late Pennsylvanian (Missouri age). Report includes cross sections, measured sections, geologic maps, stratigraphic tables.
Named from outcrops along Platte River in Plattford Twp., Sarpy Co., southeastern NE.
