Panther Camp Formation named as basal formation of Naples Bay Group in Collier Co., southeastern FL. Consists of porous pelletal limestone at base and a regionally persistent anhydrite bed at top. 95 m thick in type well. Overlies Gordon Pass Formation of Big Cypress Group and underlies Rookery Bay Formation, also of Naples Bay. Age is Early Cretaceous (Comanchean).
