Other quartzites shown on the map include: Baraboo, Barron, Flambeau, McCaslin, Rib Mountain, Rudolph, and Sturgeon quartzites. Age is not stated.

Palms Quartzite of Menominee Group of Marquette Range Supergroup (new; replaces †Animikie series of James, 1958, south of Lake Superior, in Michigan and Wisconsin). Present in Gogebic Range, northwestern Michigan. Unconformably overlies Bad River Dolomite of Chocolay Group. Underlies Ironwood Iron-Formation of Menominee Group. Age is middle Precambrian.
