Summary:

Not used in Keweenawan Peninsula and adjacent areas of upper MI in the Lake Superior region. Formerly a named conglomerate unit above upper, mafic lava member--or Lake Shore Trap (not used) of Copper Harbor Conglomerate. Author feels name is inappropriate both as formal stratigraphic name and as unit defining base of upper Keweenawan. Is of only local significance because base cannot be traced west from Keweenaw Peninsula. Stratigraphic chart. Is middle Precambrian in age.
