Summary:

Named after Otter Creek, Kiowa Co, OK in the South Oklahoma folded belt province. Type area designated in sec 15, T4N, R17W. Was formerly included in the Raggedy Mountain Gabbro Group by Ham and others (1964). Consists of dark green-gray aphanite containing andesine, green hornblende, biotite, apatite, ilmenite, magnetite, and sulfides. Quartz, alkali feldspar, hypersthene, and augite present in some samples. Geologic map. Stratigraphic chart. Occurs as dikes, sills, and irregular intrusions in the Glen Mountains. Intrudes the Glen Mountains Layered Complex (new) of the Raggedy Mountain Gabbro Group and the Roosevelt Gabbros (new) of the Raggedy Mountain Gabbro Group. Of Cambrian age.
