Old Breastworks Formation at base of Wilcox Group named in Lauderdale Co., TN. Consists of gray, lignitic, clayey micaceous silt. Thickness 85 m. Overlies Porters Creek Clay of Midway Group and underlies Fort Pillow Sand of Wilcox Group. Age is early Eocene.
