Summary:

Moderately stony, silty diamicton with dominant calcareous shale and limestone clasts is named for exposures in town of Norway, Middleville quad., eastern NY. Occurs in Mohawk and West Canada Valleys. Similar to overlying Holland Patent till (Antonetti, 1982 M.S. thesis). Overlies Hawthorne till (first used). Correlates with Alder till of Black River Valley. Deposited during Port Bruce stade.
