Summary:

Pg. 7 (table), 11-13, 20, pl. 1. No Name argillite of Newport group (new). Predominantly dark-gray argillite with occasional argillaceous sandstone beds and limestone lenses. Thickness about 4,200 feet. Middle formation of Newport group. Gradationally underlies Skookum formation (new), transition zone about 400 feet thick; gradationally overlies Bead Lake formation (new), transition zone about 200 feet thick. Probably = part of Prichard Formation of Clark Fork district, Idaho (see A.L. Anderson, 1930, Idaho Bur. Mines. Geol. Bull., no. 12). Age is pre-Cambrian.
Named from No Name Peak, [Skookum Creek 7.5-min quadrangle], Pend Oreille Co., northeastern WA.
