Summary:

Unit is named the New Pass Tuff. Consists of red to lavender welded tuff. Thickness is 150 m at type; ranges from 15 to 150 m. Overlies and underlies unnamed Tertiary tuffs. Age is Miocene based on a radiometric (K-Ar; sanidine) age of 22.0 +/-0.9 Ma. (B1520)
