Summary:

Pg. 99, etc. Narragansett Basin series. Arkoses, coarse and fine conglomerates, shales, and interbedded sandstones, some limestone. Thickness 12,000 feet. In general appearance resemble rocks of Boston and Norfolk Basins, but are more highly fossiliferous and of more pronounced red color. The Dighton conglomerate is upper member of series. [Age is Pennsylvanian and Permian(?).]
