Summary:

Named as a bed in Puddle Springs Arkose Member of Wind River Formation of latest early Eocene (Lost Cabin) age for exposures at Muskrat Creek, Fremont Co, WY, in south-central Wind River basin. Type section designated at SE1/4 SW1/4 SE1/4 sec 10, T32N, R90W. Is a cobble-boulder conglomerate consisting mostly of granite but also has abundant gneiss. Boulders 2 to 6 ft long are common. Largest one was 13 ft long. Mud balls as much as 3 ft in diameter seen east of Muskrat Creek. Is 19.5 ft thick at type. Is 10 to 20 ft thick along its outcrop. Is about 100 ft above Dry Coyote Conglomerate Bed. Can be traced from Coyote Creek to Conant Creek anticline. May be a mudflow deposit.
