Summary:

Named as a member of Swope formation of Bronson group. No type locality designated. Is a yellow, fossiliferous shale which contains local beds of limestone a few inches thick. Thickness of member generally less than 5 ft. Overlies Critizer limestone member (new) of Swope and underlies Sniabar limestone member (first used) of Swope. Cross section. Age is Missouri, or Pennsylvanian.
