Summary:

Pg. 7. Morrill limestone member, upper member of Beattie limestone formation of Council Grove group. Followed classification of Condra and Busby (1933) and Moore (Kansas Geol. Survey Bull., no. 22, 1936). Consists of two gray limestones separated by thin shale; weathers brown. Thickness 3 to 4 feet. Overlies Florena shale member of the Beattie. Underlies Stearns shale formation of Council Grove group. Age is considered Permian (lower part of Big Blue).
