Summary:

Lower Marble formation in the Northwest Adirondack Mountains subdivided into several informal members. Maple Ridge member, a calc-silicate layered gneiss at the top of the formation, may be in structural (tectonic slide) contact with the overlying Popple Hill Gneiss. Overlies a thin, unnamed quartz-diopside carbonate member.
