Summary:

Newly assigned to the newly named Qu'appelle group as its basal formation. Overlies Nisku formation (formerly a member of Winterburn formation) of the newly named Saskatchewan group. Consists of red and brown-red dolomitic shale, brown-red dolomitic siltstone, and red anhydritic argillaceous dolomite. Ranges from 50 to 150 ft thick. Cross sections; correlation charts; areal extent map; well-log descriptions. Of Late Devonian age.
