Summary:

Informal Longs Park member of Kinzers Formation in Lancaster Co., PA, may be the physical equivalent of the newly named Greenmount Member in York Co. Both members occur at the top of the Kinzer and underlie the Ledger Formation. Thickness of the Longs Park ranges from 131 to 180 ft, while the Greenmount ranges from 0 to 100 ft. Fossils in the Long Park indicate a Middle Cambrian age. The Greenmount has been dated as Early Cambrian. Age difference may be attributed to time-transgressive nature of the Kinzers.
