Weller, Stuart, 1905, The classification of the Upper Cretaceous formations and faunas of New Jersey: New Jersey Geological Survey Report of Progress, 1904, p. 145-159.

Summary:

Author suggests that the "yellow sand" facies of the Vincentown formation be called Long Branch sand as proposed by Knapp [unpub.] if it is thought worthwhile. The fauna is equivalent to that of the Eocene Vincentown limesand. [A geographic name for this facies of Vincentown sand has been deemed unnecessary (GNU records), and "Long Branch sand" is not in use.]
