Summary:

Name Little Northeast Creek Member of James Run Formation (of Glenarm Group) proposed for grayish-white to gray dacitic to rhyolitic granofels with relict phenocrysts of plagioclase and quartz exposed along Little Northeast Creek near Theodore, Cecil Co., MD. Unit is fine- to medium-grained and massive. At least four phases of folding are indicated. Of metavolcanic to metasubvolcanic origin. Thickness 1,370 m. Grades into Frenchtown Member and biotite gneiss of sedimentary origin. Probably partly equivalent to Principio Furnace Member (new). Underlies Gilpins Falls Member (new). Age is early Paleozoic.
