Summary:

Named as a middle member of Broadwater formation (new) for Lisco, Garden Co, NE in the Denver basin. Type section measured in NE1/4 sec 20, T19N, R47W. Name applied to rocks above the basal gravel and beneath the upper gravel members of Broadwater. Consists of (ascending): fine, greenish-gray sand with occasional pebbles at base, peat, pure to impure diatomaceous marl with sand lenses, gray silt and fine sand, and buff-gray sand 8.9 ft thick. Silt facies replaces marl to east. Has loess-like silt, alluvial and colluvial deposits. Fossil mammals: mastodont, camel, llama, peccary, horse, sloth, gopher, giant beaver, sabertooth tiger, wolf, coyote, otter, etc. Early Pleistocene age.
