Summary:

Named as lower part of Ft. Pierre division of Platte series (new); named from Lisbon, Logan Co, KS, Anadarko basin. No type locality designated. Occurs in Logan and Wallace Cos, KS, Anadarko basin, and in Elbert Co, CO in the Denver basin. Consists of dark-bluish and brownish shales containing concretions of yellow phosphate of iron. Thickness not given. Overlies Smoky Hill chalk (new) of Niobrara division, Platte series (new); underlies Arickaree shales (new) of Fox Hills division, Platte series (new). Fossils listed. Of Late Cretaceous age.
