Lilesville Granite named for town in Anson Co., central NC. Consists of adamellite, granodiorite, and tonalite, with a medium- to coarse-grained matrix and a porphyritic rapakivi texture. Intrudes metamorphosed volcanic rocks and argillites. Age is Late Mississippian and Early Pennsylvanian.
