Leslie Gulch tuff member of Sucker Creek formation. Is a deposit of ash-flow tuff. Thickness is as much as 1000 feet.

Named for typical exposures near Leslie Gulch in secs. 10, 11,13,14,24 T26S R44E and secs.16,17,19,20 T26S R45E, Owyhee Reservoir district, Mahleur Co, OR. Is thick extensive rhyolitic ash-flow tuff member in upper part of Sucker Creek Formation (new). Member is lenticular. Attains thickness of at least 1000 ft. Gradational with sedimentary strata of Sucker Creek Formation at its base locally. Overlain by Sucker Creek Formation, Jump Creek Rhyolite or Deer Butte Formation. Age of Sucker Creek Formation is late Miocene.

Leslie Gulch Ash-Flow Tuff Member of Sucker Creek Formation of Kittleman and others (1965) has K-Ar age of 15.5 +/-0.5 Ma obtained on sanidine. On basis of mapping by Vander Meulen and others (1987) unit is divided into 3 facies: intracaldera facies, outflow facies, and air-fall facies. All 3 facies were deposited during collapse of Mahogany Mountain caldera.
